Summary

[General description] Seen from above the jetty juts out into the sea at the base of rocky cliffs. [On back of photograph] 'Stenhouse Bay Jetty (in hundred of Warrenben, about 1.5 miles SW of Rhino Head) / 1934 / Cutting from 'Chronicle', July 19, 1934 / Copy of description in 'Chronicle': 'The centre of the gypsum industry on Yorke Peninsula is Stenhouse Bay, where this jetty has been specially equipped to handle gypsum expeditiously. Some 60,000 tons are exported annually'.
