Summary

[General description] This view looks from Currie Street along Gilbert Place, focusing on the Gilbert Building where a group of men pose by its arched doorway. These premises were altered later in 1934 by architect Albert Langhans for Buring and Sobel vignerons and the building was known thereafter as Queltaler House. A horse with a dray loaded with metal drums stands patiently by. [On back of photograph] 'Acre 78 / Gilbert Place, May 28th 1934 / For alterations effected in 1934 see B 6602'.
