Summary

Unitarian Church, Wakefield Street, 1866, north side approximately 92 yards east of Victoria Square. The land for this church was given by William Everard and the first stone was laid in 1856. The Unitarian Church which stood opposite the now Catholic Cathedral was opened in 1857. The bluestone church with an octagonal tower was a local landmark. A plaque in the Wakefield Tower commemorates the site of this old church.
