Bowman Building and arcade in King William Street. This building was designed in 1908 by Herbert Jackman of Garlick and Jackman and constructed by the S. A. Reinforced Concrete Company in 1909-1910. The concrete engineering design was carried out under the direction of (later General Sir) John Monash. The building was demolished in 1972. [Information provided by Alan Holgate].

Almond Blossom near Brighton. A lady is sitting on the fender of a ca.1935 Vauxhall Saloon. According to a researcher, this grove of almonds lined the driveway into the property known as "Wyndham". The roadway subsequently became Trott Grove, in the subdivision that became Oaklands Park (part of the district of Marion). A few remnant almonds still exist along the walkway that was once part of Trott Grove. NOTE: this is the same grove of almonds as that shown in B 60354/82.
