An assortment of rolling stock at an unidentified rail yard. [Identified as 'Early breakdown crane and ancillary wagons at Peterborough locomotive depot' by W. Hoskin.] According to another resercher, 'the crane was manufactured by Cowans, Sheldon of Carlisle in the 1880s or 1890s. The crane is chain roped, and fitted with derricking poles, typical for an early machine. Note the florid style of works plate typical for that firm.'
