Summary

[General description] This new two storey building was designed by George Gavin Lawson in 1926 in the architectural style known as South African provincial municipal. A row of men in suits pose for the photographer in front of the entrance, flanked by several motor buses full of people. The view was taken on Wednesday 21st March 1928 on the occasion of the annual employee's picnic. [On back of photograph] 'Reproduced in the 'Advertiser', March 1928 / New Burnside District Council Chambers /1928'.
