Summary

[General description] This brick building, designed by Mr. St. John Makin features a central block of four crennulated towers with a single storey wing at each end. It was originally named the Lakeman Institute after its patron Mr. F.A. Lakeman,director of James Marshall & Co., Limited, and Vice-President of the South Australian Missions to Seamen. Note motorcycle with sidecar at the kerb. [On back of photograph] 'Reproduced in the 'Advertiser' / Seamen's Mission, Outer Harbor / 1928'.
