Summary

[General description] This new Adelaide Railway Station is a large sandstone structure in the neoclassical style designed by local architects Garlick and Jackman. Its foundation stone was laid on 24 August 1926, and the building was completed in 1928. Cars and an open-topped bus (S.A.R. 52) are parked in front of the building. Men are at work on scaffolding under the verandah. [On back of photograph] 'Reproduced in the "Chronicle", Aug. 13, 1927. / Adelaide Railway Station / 1927.'
