Summary

[General description] The splendid new T & G (Temperance and General) Building, Chicago School in style, has eleven floors and was Adelaide's tallest building for some years. Architects were Henderson Alsop and Martin. See B 2096 for a view of the site following demolition of the previous building. [On back of photograph] 'Acre 141 / South corner of King William and Grenfell Streets./ 1927 / Reproduced in the Chronicle 10-12-1927. / T&G building erected 1925. For view of buildings formerly on the site see B 1190. / Grenfell Street frontage: 31 yards. King William Street frontage: 24 yards'.
