Summary

[General description] Marble Hill with its prominent tower, partially obscured by large trees in its garden. Built in 1880 this mansion was the Governor's summer residence. It was later to be destroyed in the Black Sunday Bushfires on 2 January 1955. It is to be restored (2011). [On back of photograph] 'Governor's residence, Marble Hill / Before 1927'.
