Summary

[General description] Renmark's first train has steamed into town. Its locomotive has been decorated by townsfolk who have come to celebrate this gala occcasion. In the foreground a decorative arch across the track can be seen, covered with sheaves of wheat. On the right are parked cars, some decorated, probably belonging to officials.[On back of photograph] 'Reproduced in the Observer, Feb. 12, 1927 / Renmark / Jan. 1927 / (Taken on the occasion of the opening of the Renmark- Paringa railway bridge across the Murray)'.
