Summary

[General description] This large two storey Victorian mansion is built from stone and has spacious verandahs all around the front, decorated with iron lace. It was built in 1882 by Robert Lawson for his wife Eliza to replace their original humble station homestead. For a view of the old homestead see B 3716. Both the old and the new buildings are still in use in 2010. [On back of photograph] 'Reproduced in the Chronicle, July 17, 1926 / The new homestead, Padthaway (south west of Bordertown) / 1926'.
