"Down beside the Recreation Hall at Keswick is a busy corner, occupied by the Red Cross Depot, where Miss Mabel Marryat, the hon. superintendent, who has had charge of it since its beginning [in 1916], has no spare moments on her hands. Every morning she visits the wards in Keswick Hospital, distributing comforts to the men, ..." The Observer newspaper, 8 November 1919, page 16.
