General notes

Mosaic coordinate: 14C.

This portrait is identified incorrectly in some published family histories as Christina McLean, nee McPhee, 1787-1869. Christina's death was three years before Henry Jones began taking photographs for this mosaic. Another photograph of Catherine McLean, who was Christina's daughter-in-law, is on page 125 of History of Donald and Christina McLean and their descendants, published in 1995. It confirms the identification of this portrait.
