Summary

Boating on Torrens Lake [also at B 77156/129]. Soon after the River Torrens was dammed by a wooden weir the first rowing club was formed in 1867. Recreational rowing in small boats also became a regular pastime. This photograph is of the scene looking east towards the Adelaide Hills.
