Summary

[General description] This quaint hotel is situated on the south west corner of Anzac Highway and Marion Road intersection. It started out as the Halfway (1839- 1875) and later the Halfway House (1882-6th June 1955). In 1956 when K.M. Carter was the licensee it was demolished and replaced as the Highway Inn which is still extant (2018). [On back of photograph] 'Halfway House Hotel / Plympton / The building was demolished in August, 1956.'
