Summary

Irrigation Office at Moorook. The Moorook village settlement was established in 1894 and unlike other settlements along the river the settlers were happy with their pump and irrigation system. However the settlement ceased in 1903 when it was incorporated into the Moorook Irrigation Area 1911. The photograph shows a stone and brick villa with an out building alongside. The town of Moorook was surveyed in 1922. The original settlement was established in an attempt to mitigate the effects of the depression then affecting the colony
