Summary

The chimney for the Elix and Harrison flour mill located on the bank of North Para River on the Turretfield Research Centre, Rosedale, South Australia. The mill was originally driven by water but when the dam broke in 1854 floods was converted to steam. The building at the back was the miller's residence. Note on the back of the photograph states "Chimney of mill on the south bank of the North Para River about half a mile west of Rosedale (Rosenthal)'. Cottage is the miller's residence. The photograph was taken in approximately 1892.
