Summary

General scene at Holder, possibly a timber cutting shed. A steam engine is sheltered under an iron roof on the side of the hill. Holder was established on 13 March 1894. Holder Settlement was situated on the banks of the River Murray and existed from 1894 until the area was converted into individual holdings in 1901. The settlement had the advantage of a substantial building from a previous sheep station.
