Stanton. It is possible this is Reverend Lionel William Stanton. Rev. Stanton arrived in Adelaide in 1864 with wife, Anna and children. The image illustrates him wearing a clerical collar. Rev. Stanton was born in Barbados, West Indies, and married in London, England. He lived in South Australia for 10 years and returned to England in 1874. He was the reverend at St Mary's at Kooringa for this period of time. His son, Lionel William Stanton, was the Inspector-General of schools in South Australia. His youngest daughter, Kathleen Stanton married Strickland Gough Kingston.
