Norman Malcolm
Norman Malcolm (presumed to be the one on the right) with two army colleagues in the Middle East. He was part of the 9th Light Horse regiment at Gallipoli and in Egypt from 1915-1917. A note on the back of the image reads: 'After chasing Turks for 12 days without a wash or change our clothes rotted on our backs'.

Norman Malcolm after his promotion to Captain in 1916 whilst serving in the Middle East. He was part of the 9th Light Horse regiment at Gallipoli and in Egypt from 1915-1917. The inscription 'To dear Ethel with love from Norman' is to his sister.

Doris Brinsley was born 18 September 1892, daughter of George Arthur Brinsley and Anna Rosina nee Wilcox. She enlisted 18 June 1917 at Adelaide and embarked for overseas 9 November 1917. She left the service 18 February 1920.
