A collection of photographs relating to the Woodville West Torrens Football Club, also known as the Eagles and part of the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). The images include action shots from various matches, player portraits, training sessions and other club related activities. [General description] "St. Clair' is a two storey house, seen from its driveway and partially obscured by trees. It was built by Mr. S.R. Clarke in 1850 in the English country house style and was enlarged considerably over time. [On back of photograph] ''St. Clair', Woodville / 1874-86 / Residence of David Bower / For historical notes about 'St. Clair' see Woodville Diamond Jubilee Souvenir, pp. 19-27 / House gutted by fire about 1893 / Top storey removed and lower portion subsequently restored'.

[General description] Family members pose at the entrance of 'The Brocas', originally a cottage built circa 1850 by Henry Giles. In 1853 it was bought by well-known Port Adelaide merchant and shipping agent John Newman. This view shows the original cottage is now a mansion being extensively enlarged c. 1870 with the addition of front rooms (ground floor with bay windows), entrance hall and a tower reputedly to the design of architect T. English. Mr Newman, being an old Etonian named his house for Eton's Brocas Meadows. Space in front of the house has been left for an extension to the upstairs balcony which was added in 1873. [General description] The Fletcher family, new owners of 'The Brocas' pose in front of the house and on the balcony. The verandah and balcony have now been added to the further side of the house (1873). (See B 10655) Henry Cruikshank Fletcher, also a Port Adelaide shipping identity who owned Fletcher's Slipyard lived here for 38 years until his death in 1912. The Brocas, residence of Mr. Henry C. Fletcher, Woodville.Between 1869 and 1870 additions were made to this modest symmetrical six roomed cottage to create the mansion seen in this photograph. It now boasts a drawing room, dining rooms and a tower for viewing the Adelaide plains, hills and Port and was set in nine acres of paddocks and gardens. The front balcony was added in 1873. Merchant Henry Giles had the house built in 1851 and it later changed owners to include John Newman and Henry Cruikshank Fletcher who was a Port shipping industry identity
