Crowded beach on Regatta Day, Wallaroo. There are two versions of this photo: B 46260 which was copied from a print lent to the Library in 1987; B 46260A was donated in 2019. There are subtle differences between the two although they were clearly taken on the same day and from the same spot.

The mine struggled in the years after World War 1 due to the downturn in the price of copper, closing for long periods and losing large amounts of money between 1919 and 1922. The mine shut down in 1923.
