A collection of lantern slides from Prince Alfred College featuring South Australian country scenes and geological formations. Locations include: Curlew Point, Reynella Beach, Hallett Cove, Sturt River, Inman River, Glenelg River, Hindmarsh River, Cape Northumberland, Port Noarlunga, Myponga Beach, Jacobs Creek, Victor Harbor, Port Elliot, Cape Jervis, Boolcoomatta, and the Blue Mountains and Jenolan Caves in New South Wales. Some of the photographs were taken by photographer J. Greenlees. The collection of slides may have been purchased for use in science and geology classes at Prince Alfred College. There appears to be a numbering system, which is incomplete, and some of the photographs may be 'commercial'. 31 slides relating to biology, featuring microsocopic views of plant and animal cells, x-rays of bones, and flowers and plants, along with slides relating to New Zealand, were not retained with this collection.
