Adelaide Festival of Arts projects

The series consists of photographs, negatives, transparencies and documents relating to proposals, and projects undertaken by Ostoja-Kotkowski, for the Adelaide Festival of Arts. They include sound and image productions, floats, chromasonic towers, festival decorations, and exhibitions. It includes 'Genesis' designed in 1962 which was Ostoja's first attempt to present photographic images synchronised with sound. The 1968 Sound and Image production used a laser beam for the first time. 'Time Riders' was produced for the 1970 festival. Ostoja combined dreamtime legends with poetry by Judith Wright, Roland Robinson, Kenneth Slessor and Max Harris. The script was by Tony Morphett and the music by Richard Meale, Peter Sculthorpe and John Antill. 1964 float for the parade; Sound and Image production. 1966 street decorations; exhibition of photography by Members of Image 8; Sound and Image production. 1968 Sound and Image production. 1970 Chromasonic tower; Sound and Image production of Time Riders; street decorations;. 1980 Laser kinetic exhibition 'Futuresight'. 1982 Laser concert. 1990 'Brush with stage' participant in exhibition. 1994 'Inscape 94' exhibition.

Family and personal photographs of George R. Harrison including three of his uncle, the bass-baritone singer Peter S. Dawson. Eleven photographs in the series were kept by G.R. Harrison in his personal pocket-book while serving with the 31st Battery, 8th Field Artillery Brigade and, with it, were returned to his family at Henley Beach following his death. Twenty four photographs have been copied from an album belonging to his mother Mrs V.F. Harrison. A selection of the photographs have been digitised.

Digital copy of a diary kept by Herbert Bindley Hussey, ambulance driver, 11th Field Ambulance, France and England, 1917-1919, written in pencil. (Writing faint and on some pages has been rubbed.) Also includes six photographs and notebook with summary of letters received from home.

The series consists of photographic material, notes and newspaper cuttings relating to laser images created at the ANU, CSIRO, the Waite Institute, Flinders University, Quentron Optics Laser Art Laboratory South Australia, the Weapons Research Laboratory South Australia and the Veteran Administration Hospital biofeedback experimental laboratory Sepulveda California; specific images such as 'Space Trapeze' and 'Figures in space'; and many unidentified images created from the 1960s to the 1990s.

Formal portrait signed by No 1842 Private Allan Oswald Coker, farmer of Salisbury, S.A. Private Coker, a member of the 2nd Reinforcements, 5th Pioneer Battalion (5th Pioneers), enlisted on 29 February 1916, he was killed in action in France on 29 July 1918.
