Peter and Christina Somerville photographed with family members during celebrations to mark their diamond wedding anniversary at Knoxville, South Australia. Peter Somerville and Christina Leitch were married in Scotland in 1860. In 1861 Peter was a gardner and they lived at Lanark. They emigrated to South Australia on the ship Saxon, arriving in May 1871. Settling at Glen Osmond, Peter was a well known horticulturist.
