[General description] McLaren Wharf, viewed from an elevated position, showing shipping, goods sheds and the activity of the wharf. A large steamship is seen in the top left of the photograph. On the right is G.H. Read's Exchange Hotel displaying a banner advertising Port Adelaide Sailing Club's yacht race on Saturday afternoon. [General description] The main focus of this street scene is the Ozone Theatre which was designed by architects Bruce, Wooldridge, and Harral and built in 1913 in the Art Nouveau style, featuring a corner tower. Business premises of J. Brook & Son, Drapers and W & T Rhodes, Ironmongers are on the right of the theatre. On the left is the Golden Grain Bakery. Wharf Hotel, Port Adelaide while Mrs Mildred Adele Pierce, wife of Thomas Pierce, was the proprietor (1927-30). A pony and trap and a car are parked outside the hotel situated on the corner of McLaren Parade and Todd Street in Port Adelaide.

Customs House, Port Adelaide was constructed in 1878 following demolition of the timber customs house which stood on the same spot since 1840. The two storey building was designed in the Victorian Italianate style and constructed from Dry Creek bluestone with Sydney white freestone dressings. It featured a 70 foot high observation tower

Prince's Wharf, near North Parade, Port Adelaide, showing the Adelaide Milling Co. buildings. According to a researcher, the small three mast schooner in the middle of the photo is the "Coringle", a member of the South Australian ketch fleet. Coringle was built in Sydney in 1909 and worked in SA until 1965, when she was sold to a Darwin buyer. She was broken up in 1971.

Congregational Church, Port Elliot. The foundation stone was laid by Mrs Hotham November 29, 1899. The Reverend J Hotham was appointed first minister February 21, 1856 and held the position for 30 years. The church was also called trhe Hotham Memorial Church. The architect was CE Taplin. Reverend M Harris was the minister from 1899

[General description] The Pier Hotel at Port Lincoln is a rambling brick and stone two storey building with verandahs, situated on a corner. A Moreton Bay fig stands next to it. The publican is W.E. Wyld who held the license from 1913-1919. There has been a hotel on this site since 15-4-1847 but it was not known as the Pier Hotel until 1864. [On back of photograph] 'Port Lincoln'.

[General description] This is the new Methodist Church built in 1909, replacing an earlier church built in 1867 which had become too small for the growing congregation.
