Port Lincoln Institute and Memorial Hall taken in 1924. The Memorial Hall was burnt down in 1934. This photograph was reproduced in the Chronicle on 12th July 1924. The building was a two storey white hall built of local stone and rendered on the front.

Flinders Archway between the Port Lincoln Institute and Civic Hall. Erected about 1936 (27 May). The stone archway between the buildings has a ship engraved in a circle in the middle of the arch and Flinders Archway written either side. Also written is Discovery 1802 on one side and Settlement 1839 on the other side.

Tasman Terrace, Port Lincoln on Boston Bay. Among other buildings stands the Pier Hotel's whose proprietor in 1867-1871 was CR Jones. Bare hillside can be seen behind Tasman Terrace. A cow can be seen grazing on the land between the hotel and beach.

Port Lincoln: Old and new residences. Assheton's Grand Hotel can be seen in the background which is situated on the corner of Tasman Terrace and Bligh Street. Arthur John Charles Assheton was the proprietor from 1906-1909.

In 1924 the former Civic Hall was rebuilt and named the Soldiers Memorial Hall. It was gutted by fire in 1934. A newly completed replacement hall was opened in 1936. At the time of photograph which was taken in 1927 the Port Lincoln Institute Memorial Hall was a white rendered two storey sandstone building with two entrances from the street.

Main Street, Port Lincoln showing the Post office and Memorial Hall. The Memorial Hall was erected in memory of sailors and soldiers who fought in the Great War of 1914-1918. The foundation stone, under which sat a list of almost 300 names of men who had enlisted from the district, was laid in 1923. The photograph shows both the Union Jack and the Australian Flags flying next to the Memorial Hall.
