Golf Club house, Port Elliot was officially opened July 11, 1934. The four room house built by voluntary was situated on Commodore Point overlooking Horseshoe Bay. The opening ceremony was performed by the club's president Mrs JW Trigg.

Foreshore and Jetty, Port Elliot showing a shelter hut, convenience and a windmill positioned on the beach. Paths zig zag the cliff and the obelisk can be seen on the cliff top. The limestone obelisk was erected in 1852. It flew a blue flag which could be seen 15 nautical miles out to sea and guided ships to the jetty

The Strand, Port Elliot before the railway gates were put up. The Council Chamber is the small building on the left of the photograph. The Chamber incorporated the Town Hall from 1860 and was extended in 1878 and 1907. Joseph Croucher was the licensee of the Railway Hotel from 1882 to 1885 and from 1890 and 1895.

Waterport Road at Port Elliot showing James Shaw Harding's home of Duxford cottage which was built in 1859-60. James and his wife Eliza arrived in 1853 on the "Mary Greene" from Duxford Cambridgeshire with their two children. This house with later additions included a new shop and dwelling house. Their daughter who was only one year old when they arrived in South Australia ran the shop until 1899. The remains of the blacksmith shop with fine bluestone and timber slab wall and bluestone stables still stand.
