A section showing levels of the proposed wharf is drawn in ink at bottom right hand corner, with present level of swamp and low water mark indicated. No scale shown but dimensions of the dock are given. Ink with blue watercolour wash on paper, ink notation. Signed by William Giles, Manager of South Australian Company. In pencil at bottom left is written 'Railway Station' over initials 'E.R.S.' and 'Received August 1854'.
