[General description] The caption under this photograph as it appeared in the Chronicle (date below) went: 'One of the few existing examples of a country store in the fifties. Note the complete absence of shop windows and the loading platform in front. The business is still being conducted by the descendants of the founder' The founder was Joseph Johnson in 1854.
