There are lace curtains at the two windows on either side of the door; a fern in a half barrel and a wooden bench are on the verandah; and a small boy is standing the yard facing the camera. The yard is fairly rough with a path leading away from the house (see D 8136/8) and there is a hose lying on the ground.
