Robinson Bridge
Robinson Bridge, Port Adelaide was shipped from England in 1883 and was opened by the Governor. It could be swung open by two men with a key turned by a hand lever and provided a 60 foot wide passage for shipping into the Company Basin. By 1920 the opening of the bridge was effected by a 15hp electric motor. This bridge was closed in 1935 and demolished later that year. The Criterion Hotel and Caves Grain Store can be seen in the background. The steamer "Eagle" registered in Melbourne is passing through the passage into the Company Basin.
