Port Adelaide Lighthouse. In 1866 a temporary structure was erected at Point Malcolm off Fort glanville. In 1874 a more powerful light was imported from England. The tower rose 100 feet and began operation in 1875. It revolved every thirty seconds showing a white beam. In 1901 when it became unsafe it was replaced with a buoy. The tower was re-erected on South Neptune Island.

This single storey red brick building has signs stating it houses Railway and General Carriers. A horse drawn wagon awaits loading.
