The grandmother is his wife, Agnes Mary Clifford, (born 1881), the younger lady is their daughter-in-law, Anne Irene Clifford, (born 1916), wife of their son John (Jack) Henry Clifford and the boy is Denis, their grandson who was born in 1942.

Kaines Collection

Collection of 15 photograph albums, containing 2943 photographs taken by Jack Kaines from the time he finised school until the end of World War II. The photographs act as a pictorial documentary of his life showing the places he traveled to around South Australia and Australia, including many roadtrips and daytrips visiting friends and family. Many of the photographs show the various cars that he owned. The photographs taken during World War II initially show many other Servicemen, but subsequently become mostly tourist shots. Except for a small number of photographs taken in Fiji, the collection ends with his war photographs, and the last 30 years of his life is not captured in this collection. A selection of photographs from his albums have been digitised and can be searched on PRG 1638.

The album was given to Ethela by Amy Helen Bishop, Georgiana Edith Bishop, Florence Elizabeth Hammond, and N.E.N. on September 24th, 1897. Comprising 93 small black and white photographs, most of landscapes, including Mount Barker, landscapes and workers at Wellington Lodge, landscapes and workers at Koonamore Station near Yunta, various locations in Port Lincoln including Mill Cottage owned by Joseph Kemp Bishop, the Adelaide Hills, Glen Osmond and the Adelaide Zoo, and two of Ethela and Joseph's grandchildren, Jack (John) and Mary Bishop, children of Sidney J.F. Bishop. Selected images have been digitised and can be viewed by doing an ARCHIVAL NUMBER search on PRG 1123/2.

The Duke of York who later became King George V planting a tree. In 1901 Albert Edward, Prince of Wales and his wife Alexander were planning an Empire Tour. However the death of Queen Victoria meant the the couple had to prepare for the coronation in 1902. Consequently, Edward's son Prince George, Duke of Cornwall and York, and Mary undertook the tour instead.
