[General description] This view along the main road of the township of Lobethal shows houses and gardens and a church on the near left. Two workmen stand on ladders propped up against the front wall of the church. Another man on a ladder is working on a untility pole. Along with other German place names during the Great War the township was re-named Tweedvale (1917), but reverted to its original name in 1935.
