Inscription on reverse reads 'To dear Mrs Robertson from P Stanton' [i.e. addressed to Thorburn Brailsford Robertson's mother Sarah Robertson or his widow, Jane Winifred Robertson). A later hand has crossed out the inscription and added 'Miss Phoebe after her 90th Birthday'.

Photograph of Mary Gilbert in her wedding dress and veil. She married Bob Magarey at St Peter's Church, Williamstown, on Wednesday 4 April 1940. An article in the 'Advertiser' (Thursday 4 April, page 8) described the dress as 'a gown of ivory toned slipper satin embroidered with pearls on the neckline and the wide skirt merged into a train. With it was worn a long-sleeved bolero, also pearl embroidered. An heirloom Limerick lace veil was merged into a tulle vei! arranged on the hair with a halo or seed pearls in foliage design.' According to 'The News' (Wednesday 3 April, page 6) the veil belonged to her great-grandmother.

The aircraft that flew Princess Anne from Canberra to Adelaide was R.A.A.F BAC-111 A12-124 operated by No. 34 Squadron.

Photograph dated 1942 of Heather Winter aged 18 months with her wooden playpen and canvas pusher, taken by her parents R.W. Winter and E.K. Winter. The pusher was purchased in 1939. It had a canvas sling style seat and was easily folded by pulling upwards on the single handle on top. The wheels were rubber strip tyred, and it had a leather buckle-up belt attached for around the waist of the child and a foot rest. The single pole with wooden handle for pushing was quite easy to manage.
