The drover is stated to have been Stuart Field, and the sheep those of Sidney Kidman. Notes on the back of the photograph state "Causeway built across Cooper Creek near Kopperamanna, over which 32,000 sheep were crossed for railing at Farina. The causeway was a method of getting sheep across a swollen river. The drover is stated to have been Stuart Field, and the sheep those of Sidney Kidman. 32,000 sheep were taken across in a week or two. Causeway was 140 yards long. A flat bottom boat from Kopperamanna Mission Station was used to assist in its construction"

Remains of the old copper mine at Blinman . Before closure in 1907 over 750,000 pounds worth of copper was mined, in days before the Farina railway it was carted 140 miles by bullock teams to Port Augusta.

Innamincka Hotel

Innamincka Hotel

Innamincka Hotel was established in approximately 1885. Howard Kearns of Farina lodged plans to build the hotel on the banks of the Cooper Creek. It was a welcome refuge for the drovers, pastoralists and shearers who travelled the Strzelecki Track. This photograph shows the single storey brick building with two men, a lady and small girl standing outside. A sign on the hotel says "Innamincka Hotel proprietor Albert Healey". He held this position from 1919-24
