Two cricket players described by Searcy as being 'Captains of the Vic. and S.A. teams', names not known. A researcher has established that the match is actually South Australia v MCC at Adelaide Oval in March 1923. The captains are Charles Edward Dolling (SA) and Colonel John Cabourne ('Jock') Hartley (MCC). A similar image appears in The Critic 21 March 1923 page 18 and Sport 23 March 1923 page 16.

View of Vickers Vulcan 'G-EBET'. Described by Searcy as being 'a famous bus', G-EBET was delivered to Australia in November 1922 by Vickers in the hope of selling it to the newly established QANTAS. During trials in March 1923 the Vulcan failed to meet QANTAS's requirements and the aircraft was not purchased.

A large eucalyptus tree growing beside a house or shop near the entrance to St. Saviour's Church, Glen Osmond, South Australia; Searcy notes that the 'famous tree' was planted by a Mr. Miles. [John Henry Wiles planted the tree in 1868 to commemorate the visit of the Duke of Edinburgh to Glen Osmond. There is a plaque at the base of the tree. John Henry Wiles managed the quarries at Glen Osmond for 30 years, and was later an inspector for the Burnside Council. Information supplied by Max Wurfel.]
