PORT AUGUSTA: The hulk of 'Old Jeny' which carried the traffic until the bridge, which can be seen in the background, was built in 1927. View 1. A researcher has suggested that this barge was used to carry the pile driver which drove the wooden posts into the seabed for the old bridge, and was not a transport barge.

View overlooking "Hollywood Park" at Port Augusta, November 1950. A researcher has added that this area was also known as Zanuckville after the US film director, Daniel Zanuck. The houses were built as accommodation for the film crew during filming of the colour film 'Kangaroo' in the 1950s. Most of the houses were removed in 1964, see Chronicle, 9/7/1964:63.
