"Yandowie", Orroroo
"Yandowie" residence at Orroroo. A researcher believes that this was the home of the Judell family. They had a dress shop in Orroroo and one in Rundle St Adelaide. The home overlooks Thea Pekina Creek, just west of the Orroroo township.

Orroroo Soldiers' Memorial
Orroroo Soldiers' Memorial. A statue of a young soldier stands on top of a plinth which lists the names of the fallen, including E.M. Judell, 9th Light Horse, whose family's drapery store can be seen in the background. He was killed at Gallipoli on 9 August 1915. Photograph reproduced in the 'Chronicle', December 20th, 1924.


Flour Mill, Orroroo
Flour Mill, and newspaper "Enterprise" offices, Orroroo. The flour mill was opened in 1874 and operated by E Trussel. AR Addison joined the mill as a partner in 1879. A fire destroyed Addison's Mill, as it was known then, in 1945.

Main Street, south side. The two businesses seen include AL Frick Butchers and the Orroroo Cash and Carry Company. Orroroo is situated in the Flinders Ranges. The first pioneers settled in 1844. Orroroo had its own flour mill, several bakeries, carriage manufacturers and a butter factory. From 1873 it was known as Pekina and from 1875 Orroroo.
