A group of Red Cross women having a cup of tea at the Stirling Oval, possibly visitors observing the exercise. A picnic case and thermos containers can be seen in the foreground. Information from a researcher: 'In September 1942, Stirling and Aldgate Red Cross women were involved in an excercise on Kensington oval and then went to "Pine Hill" the home and garden of Mrs Guy Fisher. In 1941 it was reported that as part of the Red Cross 30,000 pound drive an excercise was held on the Stirling oval with public observing. Source Mount Barker Courier'.
