Handwriting on the back of the photo: 'The stack when not quite finished showing the builder O.E. Klau on top. The length of stack is 60 yds about 3 chains[?] long , 4 yds wide, about 25ft high'. Photograph of a very large haystack in a paddock. There are men and horse-drawn carts at the bottom of the stack. The truck belongs to Murray Chaff Mills. Handwriting on the back of the photo: 'A view of the years hay harvest 1939. Big stack 250 tons. The lorry, 3 waggons and 9 men, about 380 acres we bindered with 2, 6ft binders and 1, 8ft binder. Abandoned cottage
Ruined cottage on the Pinnaroo to Loxton road. The stone rubble cottage has red brick quoins and a partial corrugated iron roof.
