Summary

Photograph of a very large haystack in a paddock. There are men and horse-drawn carts at the bottom of the stack. The truck belongs to Murray Chaff Mills. Handwriting on the back of the photo: 'A view of the years hay harvest 1939. Big stack 250 tons. The lorry, 3 waggons and 9 men, about 380 acres we bindered with 2, 6ft binders and 1, 8ft binder. Murray Chaff Mills (registered) phone 6 new Residence. O.E. Klau'. Photograph taken by F. Casson, Loxton, Medallist in photography.
