[General description] Artistic photograph of the Laura showgrounds taken with a body of water in the foreground which gives a mirror image effect. The stone building is one of several permament structures on the showgrounds which caused some to hesitate when a move to new grounds, closer to the railway station and the public school was suggested in 1913. However the move went ahead and was successful.

[General description] A horse and cart stands in front of a row of single storey shops on the main street of Laura Township. The shops have decorative parapets bearing the names of the shop owners. The shop with sheets hung over the windows is/ has been the premises of W.Wilson, Draper, Grocer, Boots & Shoes. D. Touchell & Son, Fruiterers is another name visible (shop in the centre).
