Photographs taken by professional photographer, Philip Martin, who was commissioned by Holden to take photographs of company events and promotions. Comprising black and white, and colour negatives, with some associated colour proof prints, of Holden's Manufacturing Plant at Elizabeth, its development and operations including production and assembly, Plant machinery and robotics, along with limited images of Woodville Plant operations. Also includes employees, training, events such as the annual employee Christmas party, annual picnic at Angaston oval, apprentice awards, Bedford Industries Awards, Vehicle Industry Certificate graduations, Quality Circle awards, Car of the Year awards, charity and donation presentations, open days, pedal car and solar car events, 2000 Olympics Torch Relay participation, sports days and staff sporting participation, and exhibitions at the National Motor Museum and Mortlock Library (SLSA). Includes images of production and launches of Holden vehicles including the VL, VN, VP, VR, VS, VT, VX, VY Commodore and variants, including the V2 Monaro and the locally made Vectra. Also contains images of tours of the Plant and visits by politicians, Peter Brock and Holden Racing Team drivers, exhibitions and displays, milestones and agreement signings, export, ELPO paintshop, NEPS Plant (New Enamel Paint Shop) construction, fitout and operations, and Plastics Plant.
