First Chaffey engine displayed at Renmark outside Department of Agriculture office. According to a resercher,the bronze plaque that has been fixed to the engine was put there on 14 February 1962, the 75th anniversary of the signing of the agreement between SA and the Chaffey brothers. The pump is displayed in front of the Renmark Irrigation Trust office. The Dept. of Agriculture was next door and shifted to another location in the mid-1960s so this picture was taken within a few years of 1962.
