Camels bringing goods to J.W.Manfield's premises at Innamincka. Innamincka was the traditional home of the Yandruwandha Aboriginal people and was proclaimed a township in 1890 with a police station, store and hotel. Until 1901 the town acted as the customs post for collecting duties on cattle brought overland from Queensland into South Australia

Blacksmith shop, Australian National Workshop, Islington Depot. According to a researcher, who once worked at the blacksmith, the crew forging under the hammer are, from left to right, Rex Burford (blacksmith), man in the centre is Allen Holberton, man on the left is unknown. The Hammer driver would have been either G.W.(Bill) Hobby or Reg Debais. The men are pictured forging an old axle, which they are reworking into rectagular shapes. These shapes would then be forged into dog spike removers. The steam hammer would once have been a Davis and Primrose 50 tonne, built in Leith, Scotland circa 1890.

St. Paul's Church, Hahndorf

[General description] This church is attractively set amongst trees and garden with wooded hills in the background. Built in 1890, this is the second St. Paul's church in Hahndorf as the first, dedicated in 1858 was becoming dilapidated. Gothic in style, it was designed by architect F.W. Dancker and built by D. Both of Eudunda. The stone is local, (carted from behind the Verdun Hotel) and its impressive 20 metre tall belltower was imported from Germany. The old building still stands on Watson Street and now is a Museum. See B 10327 for another similar view from further away.
