Rations to last Prisoners of War 24 hours at Stalag 383: (?) bread (blue mouldy), 3 rotten spuds (potatoes), cow/turnip-water soup, a spoon each of ersatz and marg or jam. Handcuffs were worn by POWs for 15 months as reprisals. Details from verso.
