Large group of newly arrived boys under the 'Barwell Boys' immigration scheme, pictured outside a two storey brick building on Kintore Avenue [newly arrived Barwell Boys were accommodated in the Police Barracks until a position could be found for them]. Only one of the 'boys' is identified - Arthur Gibson - the fair haired boy 9th from left in the back row.
